Honest Civic Bulletin

Write for us

We welcome pitches that help readers understand civic life more clearly. Send proposals through the Contact page, with a concise outline of the idea, its reader value and the approach you would take.

What we welcome

Pitch accessible, original explanations of civic institutions, representation, participation, public language or civic ideas. A strong proposal begins with a specific question, gives readers useful context, and makes room for complexity without relying on specialist vocabulary.

What makes a good pitch

Tell us the central point, why it matters to a general reader, and what material or examples would support the piece. Avoid pitches that depend on unsupported claims, present opinion as settled fact, or require readers to act on advice that belongs with an official or qualified professional.

How to send it

Use the Contact page and select the editorial question option, then make clear that your message is a contribution pitch. Include a short outline and a brief account of your relevant perspective. A proposal is not a commission, and we may not be able to reply to every submission.
